Rugby Systems Operator

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential sports technology organization seeking a Rugby Systems Operator to join their growing team. This role offers the chance to work at the forefront of sports technology across major rugby events worldwide. You'll be delivering cutting-edge video replay systems that make the sport safer, fairer, and more engaging for millions of viewers.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in the UK (within commutable distance of Basingstoke) with extensive domestic and international travel expected. The ideal start date is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up advanced video replay technology before matches, including physically demanding tasks such as rigging cameras and running cables
• Operate video replay systems during live matches, supporting match officials and medical staff in reviewing potential incidents
• Liaise with broadcasters, match officials, and teams to ensure all contractual obligations are met seamlessly
• Provide remote technical support to live operations, troubleshooting hardware and software issues in real-time
• Conduct detailed pre-match system checks following standard procedures
• Monitor hardware and software performance throughout events
• Represent our client professionally on-site, taking full ownership of system operations
• Participate in research and development of new technologies and projects
• Maintain kit and equipment needed for system operations
