About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Lead Product Designer to join their Operations team. This is a pivotal role shaping how customer support and help experiences work at scale, blending AI-enabled automation with human service design.

Our client is building tech-led support experiences that connect customer-facing journeys with internal systems and operational workflows. You'll be designing across the full ecosystem—from mobile interfaces to phone support to the platforms that empower operations teams.

Location: UK Remote (with occasional travel to London) or Cardiff
Visa sponsorship: Available

Responsibilities

• Embed the long-term design vision for support experiences, shaping how customer journeys, internal systems, and human service connect into one coherent ecosystem
• Lead large, end-to-end design initiatives across ambiguous problem spaces, spanning AI-enabled help experiences, internal tooling, and operational workflows
• Design with a service mindset, understanding what happens beyond the interface and shaping the real-world impact of your design decisions
• Design across touchpoints from app to phone to human support channels
• Navigate tradeoffs and guide strategic decisions with a clear point of view
• Coach other designers in the Operations collective by helping them embed the vision in their work, running design critiques, and supporting them to shape their projects
• Raise the bar for design craft and product excellence, ensuring your work sets a benchmark for quality and innovation
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to define and execute product strategies that translate into actionable plans you help build and ship
• Proactively address systemic challenges, reduce complexity, and create better conditions for teams to deliver impactful work
• Act as a visible ambassador for Design, sharing your work and its impact across the organization
• Mentor and level up designers across the discipline, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and belonging

What We're Looking For

• Expert-level craft with deep expertise in a specific design discipline and strong foundational skills across all areas of product design
• Comfort designing for AI and automation-enabled environments, with excitement about the opportunities AI creates to rethink how services operate
• Experience working on complex service ecosystems where digital products connect to real-world operations, people, or logistics
• Passion for improving how humans and technology work together, creating experiences that feel seamless to customers and empowering to support teams
• Proven track record of delivering high-impact design work that drives customer outcomes, influences company metrics, and achieves commercial goals
• Excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills with the ability to think through complex interaction design challenges
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, leading teams to deliver in complex, fast-changing environments while maintaining a high bar for quality
• Strategic thinking skills to shape product direction across multiple areas and translate organizational goals into clear, actionable plans
• Natural collaboration abilities, skilled at working cross-functionally to improve ways of working and deliver greater value
• Passion for growing and shaping design teams through hiring, onboarding, or creating resources that scale your impact
• Pragmatic and proactive approach, always looking for ways to improve design impact while balancing the need to deliver

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: £110,000 - £125,000 plus stock options
