About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential luxury fashion brand in their search for a (Senior) Collection Merchandiser focused on footwear. This Berlin-based role offers the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a growing shoe collection across direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels. You'll work at the intersection of design, commercial strategy, and operations to build collections that resonate with discerning customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term assortment strategy for the footwear category, balancing brand identity with commercial objectives across D2C and B2B channels
• Lead seasonal collection creation in partnership with design and product development teams, owning the range plan and line plan throughout the process
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation
• Manage the critical path for the shoes category, ensuring all key milestones and deadlines are met while coordinating cross-functional meetings with appropriate stakeholders
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop compelling product stories and campaigns that enhance category visibility
• Partner with sales teams to gather feedback from wholesale partners and incorporate their needs into assortment planning
• Work closely with operations to ensure smooth product delivery and availability across all channels
• Monitor and analyze category performance, identifying growth opportunities and areas for improvement through data-driven insights

What We're Looking For

• 4-5 years of proven experience in merchandising or product management within the luxury fashion industry, ideally with footwear focus
• Strong understanding of the luxury market, including both D2C and B2B channel dynamics
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to build relationships across departments
• Deep passion for luxury fashion, design, and craftsmanship
• Ability to work in Berlin with a flexible hybrid working model
