About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential blockchain organization that is building decentralized AI infrastructure. Our client is backed by leading global venture firms and works with major technology companies and research institutions worldwide. We're seeking a Community Manager to lead their presence and community-building efforts in South Korea.
This role will focus on growing and engaging the local AI and blockchain community through both online and offline initiatives. You'll develop grassroots programs, organize meetups and hackathons, and activate developers, researchers, and enthusiasts within the ecosystem. Working closely with global marketing and developer relations teams, you'll localize campaigns, manage regional channels, and build meaningful connections with partners, influencers, and thought leaders across Korea's Web3 and AI landscape.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute community programs that drive awareness, participation, and retention within Korea's AI and blockchain communities
- Plan and host meetups, hackathons, and workshops; manage event logistics and partnership coordination
- Recruit and lead local Ambassador programs to promote the platform within their professional networks
- Build relationships with Web3 key opinion leaders, AI builders, academic institutions, and student communities
- Manage Discord, Telegram, Naver Blog, and other local channels to sustain daily engagement and community growth
- Collaborate with the global Marketing team to localize campaigns, content, and community updates for Korean audiences
- Track and report on growth metrics including member counts, engagement rates, and contributor activity
- Coordinate influencer partnerships and ensure consistent brand presence across Korean channels
- Support press outreach and local media communication efforts
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in community management, developer relations, or event operations, preferably within AI or Web3
- Strong understanding of South Korea's AI and blockchain ecosystem, including key players and community dynamics
- Proven skills in social channel management and engagement strategy development
- Demonstrated event-planning experience from initial concept through successful execution
- Passion for decentralized AI and emerging technologies
- Fluent in Korean with professional proficiency in English
- Proactive connector who can translate market insights into measurable community impact
