Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential digital consulting firm serving tax and accounting professionals across Germany. Our client is seeking a DATEV Support Specialist to join their fully remote team.
In this role, you will:
- Provide technical support to accounting firms on DATEV software questions via telephone, video call, and remote desktop assistance
- Deliver online training sessions showing teams how to work more efficiently with DATEV accounting and payroll systems
- Guide firms through digital transitions including electronic documents, cloud-based workflows, and new accounting and HR processes
- Contribute to internal process documentation and standardised checklists to ensure consistent service delivery
- Help develop the internal training academy by creating guides, procedures, and learning materials for the broader team
This is a 100% remote position available throughout Germany. Core hours are Monday through Thursday starting at 8:30, with a minimum of 5.5 hours daily. Both full-time (40 hours) and part-time (minimum 22 hours weekly) arrangements are available.
What We're Looking For
Our client requires hands-on experience with at least one of these DATEV modules:
- DATEV Rechnungswesen (accounting software), or
- DATEV Personalwirtschaft including LODAS or payroll systems
Beyond that technical foundation, the ideal candidate will:
- Enjoy explaining concepts clearly and have patience when answering recurring questions
- Work carefully and reliably, following established procedures and protocols
- Navigate computer systems confidently and learn new software quickly
- Communicate professionally and clearly in both spoken and written German
- Work independently from a home office with a stable internet connection
- Be located in Germany or elsewhere within the European Union
This position suits tax office staff, financial accountants, payroll specialists, accounting graduates, or administrative professionals from accounting environments. A formal qualification is not required — your practical DATEV experience matters more than certificates. Our client provides comprehensive onboarding on all systems and processes you'll support.
