Azure DevOps Deployment Engineer – EU Institution (95% Remote) (Poland)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a European public sector organization based in Warsaw, Poland. We're seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Deployment Engineer to join a long-term cybersecurity and systems integration mission. This role offers 95% remote work flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical infrastructure supporting international operations.

As part of this engagement, you'll work closely with ICT teams to manage complex deployment pipelines, ensure system stability, and coordinate technical solutions across multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Support ICT teams in application building, integration, and deployment across back-end systems and client devices (mobile and desktop)
• Assist with system environment management and configuration tasks
• Provide technical support to project teams during system testing phases
• Monitor system performance, health metrics, and overall infrastructure stability
• Report and coordinate resolution of technical issues related to system environments
• Liaise with system vendors and contractors on behalf of the ICT team regarding technical matters
• Support deployment of development environments in Azure cloud infrastructure
• Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications
• Manage IIS configuration including application pools, websites, bindings, SSL certificates, and authentication
• Automate application deployments and environment configuration updates

What We're Looking For

• University degree (BSc or MSc) in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 8+ years of proven experience in software deployment management
• Strong knowledge of software release management practices
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD management of mission-critical, complex enterprise systems
• Expertise in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for production applications
• Strong experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise-hosted applications
• Mastery of SharePoint and SharePoint platform-specific tools
• Deep knowledge of IIS configuration, application pools, websites, bindings, SSL certificates, and authentication mechanisms
• Working knowledge of Active Directory integration, Group Policies, service accounts, and Windows security concepts
• Familiarity with RUP and/or Agile methodologies
• Experience with application servers and RDBMS systems
• Proficiency with build and deployment tools (Ant, Azure Pipelines)
• Strong Azure DevOps knowledge and experience
• Experience with development tools and git-based workflows
• Proven ability to automate deployments and configuration management
• Strong communication skills with ability to participate effectively in multi-lingual meetings
• Capability to work successfully in an international, multicultural environment
