Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential technology organization in Brazil seeking a mid-level Back-end Java Developer. In this role, you will:
- Develop software applications, programs, and systems following project specifications and requirements
- Test developed software to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring quality delivery and client satisfaction
- Document code to facilitate future maintenance and updates
- Support the development team by providing technical guidance and leadership in delivering high-quality solutions
- Build efficient, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
- Research and adopt new technologies to improve software performance and efficiency
- Monitor production systems to identify issues and implement solutions
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate brings the following qualifications:
- Degree in Technology or related field
- Strong proficiency in Java (versions 8, 11, and 21), Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs
- Database knowledge with SQL Server and Sybase
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, PubSub, or RabbitMQ
- Practical experience working in agile teams using Scrum, XP, or Kanban methodologies
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence applied to development, including tools like Devin, Cursor, or Gemini, AI API integration, language model (LLM) concepts, and best practices for AI adoption in backend applications
- Experience creating and monitoring batch processing, preferably using Spring Batch
- Understanding of system integration patterns
- Clear and assertive communication skills with ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Programming language certification (desirable)
- Cloud certification (desirable)
