About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential IT services organization in Germany that has built its portfolio through strategic acquisitions. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead post-merger integration initiatives across multiple subsidiary companies in Northern Germany.
This is not a consulting advisory role. You will be directly accountable for translating strategic objectives into operational results, working shoulder-to-shoulder with managing directors at acquired entities to drive integration projects from planning through delivery.
Responsibilities
- Translate group-level strategic goals into concrete, measurable projects in collaboration with local leadership teams
- Analyze, define, and plan improvement initiatives including operational capacity optimization, leadership and reporting structure development, process standardization, and system implementations
- Track project execution rigorously through to completion, ensuring accountability at every stage
- Design and manage stakeholder communication proactively throughout integration cycles
- Provide executive coaching and sparring to managing directors and senior leaders, including addressing difficult topics directly
- Develop reusable PMI blueprints and standards for future integrations in partnership with group leadership
- Report transparently to executive leadership and escalate risks early
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Structured working style with strong numerical aptitude
- Background in process, strategy, or IT consulting
- Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to drive decisions through complex organizations
- Proven experience leading complex change and implementation projects
- Post-merger integration or operational excellence project experience
- Communication skills focused on clarity and essentials
- Affinity for information technology, particularly AI systems
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Northern Germany with a valid driver's license (Class B)
- Professional fluency in German
Preferred:
- Expert-level proficiency in M365 tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI
- Completed degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, or comparable field
