Our client is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to transform complex operational and business data into clear insights that drive measurable improvements across trading operations and industrial processes.

This is an integrated role at the intersection of business, operations, and technology. You'll work directly with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, perform hands-on analysis, and build stable, automated reporting solutions. The position offers significant ownership and impact as you help build data foundations for a rapidly growing operation.

Responsibilities

• Turn complex business questions into clear, actionable analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, risks, and key performance drivers
• Build and maintain data transformations to create clean, reliable, analysis-ready datasets in the Data Warehouse
• Translate business requirements into well-structured, reusable data models and clearly defined metrics that serve as a trusted source of truth
• Implement and maintain data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, and freshness of data
• Build and support dashboards, reports, and analytical datasets optimized for internal reporting and self-service analytics
• Work closely with Product, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering teams to understand needs and deliver meaningful analytical solutions
• Maintain clear documentation for datasets, transformations, metrics, and data lineage using dbt Docs or similar tools
• Identify manual analytical workflows and improve them through automation, modern data tooling, and AI-assisted analysis

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Analytics, Product Analytics, Business Analytics, or a closely related analytical role
• Strong analytical and statistical thinking with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes while working confidently with imperfect data
• Independent, structured, and pragmatic approach with strong ownership mindset
• Excellent communication skills across different levels and functions, able to bridge business needs and technical solutions
• Strong business understanding with ability to quickly grasp complex, finance-driven business processes; experience with financials, commodity trading, finance analytics, or accounting is a strong advantage
• Strong SQL skills including complex queries, data transformations, joins, aggregations, window functions, and analytical data models
• Proven experience with modern Data Warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks
• Experience with modern analytics engineering practices and tools such as dbt, including data modelling, automated testing, and documentation
• Strong experience with BI and visualization tools (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Power BI or similar) with focus on building clear, performant dashboards
• Genuine curiosity about AI-assisted analytics and modern cloud data workflows while maintaining understanding and control of underlying data
