Senior Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential IoT and fleet technology organization seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to drive technical success in large and strategic opportunities. In this role, you will:

• Lead technical pre-sales activities including discovery sessions, technical demonstrations, pilots, and proof-of-concepts for enterprise fleet opportunities
• Assess prospect business challenges and identify optimal technical solutions to meet their needs
• Partner with Business Development teams as the technical lead to drive growth with large and enterprise clients
• Develop segment-specific expertise and contribute to playbooks and knowledge bases for complex opportunities
• Lead strategic projects with partners and third-party integrators, ensuring seamless implementation and deployment
• Provide market and customer feedback to Product Management teams to inform product development
• Educate and collaborate with channel teams, enabling partners and end-users to optimize technology utilization
• Identify and implement automation and standardization methods for demonstrations based on segment expertise
• Maintain smooth transition plans to channel teams post-sale to ensure service and solution goals are met
• Document and track opportunities and projects using standard tools (JIRA and Salesforce)
• Mentor and support Solutions Engineers and team members, sharing expertise and best practices

What We're Looking For

• 5–8 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Engineering Support, Software Development, Automotive Engineering, Data Science, Technical Account Management, or Business Development
• Strong business acumen with a drive to generate revenue through prospect and pre-sales engagements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to assess customer challenges and propose viable solutions
• Customer-focused mindset with commitment to understanding client needs and delivering exceptional service
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product development, and customer support
• Experience with sales or business development, identifying and pursuing opportunities
• Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven track record of successful customer engagements, project management, and team collaboration
• Experience mentoring and guiding team members to better solutions
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow technical knowledge to subject matter expert level
• Ability to lead and create training sessions for audiences with varying technical backgrounds
• Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal guidance
