About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential strategy consultancy in Berlin for a PMO Manager position (parental leave coverage). This organization operates at the intersection of brand strategy, organizational development, and portfolio management, delivering tailored solutions for growth-focused clients.

We're seeking a detail-oriented professional who can ensure projects stay on track regarding resources, budget control, and financial planning. This is a hands-on role serving as a critical bridge between project teams, client leads, senior management, and finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PMO aspects of client projects including budget tracking, hours monitoring, revenue checks, profitability analysis, and quality assurance of project management and finance tools
• Manage single and multi-project portfolios including planning, controlling, vendor management, reporting, and preparation of billing documentation
• Coordinate closely with client leads on forecasts, profitability metrics, and account development while preparing relevant business updates
• Support resource and capacity planning including workload assessments and assembling appropriate project teams
• Prepare proposals and calculate costs for internal and external services, providing commercial support during pitches
• Provide operational project management support, sparring partnership, and enablement for project leads

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in an agency or consultancy environment with solid understanding of project-driven organization dynamics
• Proven project and multi-project management experience with the ability to simultaneously track multiple projects, resources, timelines, and dependencies
• Strong commercial acumen in the professional services sector, including experience with budgets, controlling, various project types, forecasts, reporting, and profitability management
• Highly accurate, independent, structured, and hands-on working style with high-quality standards for data, numbers, and planning
• Strong sense of personal accountability and reliability, with enthusiasm for close collaboration with project teams, client leads, finance/accounting, and management
• Fluency in German is required for this Berlin-based role
