Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking a Privacy & Security Enterprise Engagement Officer. In this role, you'll serve as a strategic partner and advisor, bridging enterprise stakeholders with privacy and security risk management teams to translate complex regulatory and contractual requirements into practical operational controls and governance activities.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance while managing risk and maintaining operational efficiency across health plan operations, technology environments, and business processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key partner and advisor between privacy/security teams and assigned business units, building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring clear understanding of requirements, risks, and compliance expectations
• Conduct impact analysis on new requirements and facilitate cross-functional working groups to drive complex, enterprise-wide compliance initiatives
• Translate complex contractual and regulatory privacy, security, AI, and resilience requirements into actionable business and technology guidance that balances compliance with operational realities
• Identify, assess, and facilitate solutions to risks, control gaps, and compliance issues, partnering with stakeholders to drive collaboration and escalate issues as needed
• Support regulatory audits, assessments, and readiness reviews by coordinating compliance evidence and providing subject matter expertise
• Partner with business stakeholders on growth activities including market expansion, contract renewals, and RFP responses by evaluating privacy, security, AI, and business continuity preparedness
• Collaborate with legal, procurement, and business teams to update third-party agreements in response to evolving regulatory obligations
• Establish and maintain program governance structures including decision frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and executive-level communications
• Monitor emerging industry, regulatory, and enforcement trends through professional associations and industry forums
• Drive continuous improvement of enterprise engagement practices and operational effectiveness

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Risk/Compliance, Business Law, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of privacy/security, risk, or compliance experience within the managed care or health plan industry
• 3+ years identifying, analyzing, and communicating security or privacy control requirements within health plan operations and systems
• Experience interpreting regulatory and compliance requirements and translating them into operational controls and risk management processes in highly regulated environments
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, including development of executive communications and risk assessments
• Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory and security frameworks including HIPAA/HITECH, state privacy laws, AI governance, business continuity requirements, NIST 800-53, CMS MARS-E/ARC-AMPE, HITRUST, SOC 2, NCQA, and ISO 27001
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) certification
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in related field or Juris Doctor (JD)
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), CRISC, or CISA certification
