Position Summary

As a Golf Pro Apprentice at Marriott's Shadow Ridge, you'll work alongside experienced golf professionals to master the technical and interpersonal skills essential to golf pro practice. This apprenticeship combines hands-on training with mentorship, preparing you for a career in golf instruction, course management, or hospitality golf operations. You'll be based on-site at our Shadow Ridge location, participating fully in the resort's golf program and member services.

Core Duties

• Assist in delivering golf instruction and coaching to members and guests of varying skill levels
• Support the golf pro in managing course operations, maintenance coordination, and facility upkeep
• Help organize and execute golf clinics, tournaments, and member events
• Maintain golf equipment and ensure proper storage and care of club inventory
• Provide courteous and professional service to golfers, members, and resort guests
• Learn and apply golf etiquette, rules, and best practices in a resort environment

Qualifications

• Passion for golf and a commitment to developing as a golf professional
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with members and guests
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced hospitality setting
• Basic understanding of golf or experience as a golfer preferred
