About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Software Engineer II for their Backend team. This role focuses on capital orchestration systems that enable large-scale financial transactions and liquidity management. You'll build foundational platforms that reconcile complex transactions, integrate data pipelines, and create streamlined workflows for business partners.
Responsibilities
- Build foundational platforms for reconciling transactions across multiple systems and partners
- Develop and integrate data pipelines from various products and internal systems
- Create intuitive user experiences that streamline business workflows
- Develop deep understanding of capital management and funding systems
- Collaborate with engineers to improve designs, code quality, and testing practices
- Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to design scalable systems
- Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases
- Support product development lifecycle by collaborating across product management, design, and analytics teams
- Create and monitor metrics, support operations, and participate in on-call rotation
What We're Looking For
- 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Fluency in full stack web development, backend development, event processing, or batch processing
- Experience designing, building, launching, and maintaining products at scale
- Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with agentic coding
- Knowledge of Python, JavaScript/React, Airflow, Spark, and SQL (preferred)
- Ability to translate business scenarios into solutions that interact with multiple software components
- Comfortable navigating large codebases, debugging, and providing code review feedback
- Demonstrated ownership of professional growth with proactive feedback-seeking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for global team collaboration
- Proactive, organized, curious, and self-starting approach
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
