About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential B2B SaaS organization in Berlin that is searching for a Chief of Staff to join their leadership team. This is a high-impact role working directly with the CEO to drive strategic initiatives, financial planning, and cross-functional execution as the company scales sustainably.
In this position, you will act as both a strategic partner and operational leader—owning critical projects that span finance, commercial strategy, and organizational effectiveness. You will take ownership of ambiguous, high-priority topics and drive them to completion with excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic, cross-functional projects from initial structure through to delivery
- Shape commercial positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy as the SaaS offering expands
- Own financial planning, forecasting, investor reporting, and performance tracking
- Manage accounting, billing processes, and relationships with external finance partners
- Drive OKRs, decision-making frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration processes
- Partner with People function to connect company objectives to performance management
- Serve as trusted thought partner to founders and leadership team members
- Manage customer contracts, coordinate external legal support, and oversee public funding matters
- Drive ISO certification topics and compliance initiatives
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in consulting, investment, or strategic finance roles within startups or scale-ups
- Experience in Chief of Staff, founder's office, or senior finance capacity
- Strong financial analysis, reporting, and planning skills with confident Excel modeling abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to take full accountability for unclear or unowned initiatives
- Hands-on approach with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Strategic thinking capability with ability to translate between strategy, finance, and operations
- Comfort operating in high-performance, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
- High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Fluent German (ideally C2) and business fluent English (C1)
- Willingness to be in the Berlin office 3-4 days per week
