Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential AI research organization seeking UK-based Data Engineering experts for a contract engagement. In this role, you will:
- Produce professional documents and deliverables in data engineering to support AI model training initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional experts to build tasks and rubrics for AI model evaluation
- Utilize SQL and Python for ETL and ELT processes within modern data architectures
- Work with distributed data tools including Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks
- Document and structure technical work to enhance AI model assessment workflows
- Operate independently during UK business hours while maintaining production-quality output
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer who has built and owned data pipelines in production environments
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and pipeline development
- Hands-on experience with ETL, ELT, orchestration, streaming, and data warehousing technologies
- Experience working with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms
- Must be based in the United Kingdom with the legal right to work in the UK
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on a contract basis from September 2025 through October 2026

Pay
