Design Manager (all genders) – Luxury Retail

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential luxury retail client seeking a Design Manager to join their team in Stuttgart. In this role, you will:

• Translate creative briefs into sustainable retail campaigns for high-end window displays, working closely with project management
• Execute technical implementation of window campaigns with high aesthetic standards, collaborating with prototyping, production teams, and client stakeholders
• Define production processes with internal manufacturing teams, select materials, create technical drawings and production documentation while adhering to budgets and timelines
• Oversee quality gates in production and installation, provide hands-on production guidance, and develop compelling client presentations for prototyping, visual merchandising, and pre-assembly phases
• Conduct site visits, supervise window installations, assess on-site technical capabilities, and maintain close communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• Degree in a technical or design field with minimum 2-3 years of experience in 3D design, ideally with exposure to prototyping and production environments
• Demonstrated experience interpreting creative briefs, particularly regarding technical specifications, compositions, colors and materials, surface treatments, and feasibility assessments
• Proficiency in at least one 3D software package and one visualization program, plus working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
• Strong communication skills in both English and German, with willingness to travel for on-site installations
• Independent and responsible work style with exceptional attention to detail, high design standards, and genuine interest in innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship
