Product Engineer – Frontend (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded technology company in the construction software space. Our client is building collaborative project management solutions that help teams prevent delays and keep complex initiatives on track. They've achieved strong early traction and are backed by prominent European venture capital firms.

We're seeking a product-minded Frontend Engineer to join their Berlin team in a hybrid role (2+ days per week in office). This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of complete features while growing from frontend specialization toward full-stack capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in a cross-functional environment to design and implement new features
• Build and maintain user-facing components using Vue 3, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
• Contribute to backend services and APIs as the role evolves toward full-stack responsibilities
• Participate in architectural decisions across the entire system
• Engage in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback
• Work with senior engineers to implement best practices for development, infrastructure, and deployment

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience with a frontend focus
• Strong fundamentals in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (Vue experience preferred)
• Ability to write clean, efficient code with attention to quality and user experience
• Flexibility to work across the stack—comfortable with 50/50 frontend/backend splits or 80/20 as needed, with interest in becoming fully full-stack
• Understanding of technical trade-offs related to scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Thrives in fast-paced startup environments with a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset
• Located in Berlin or willing to relocate to Berlin, Germany

Tech stack includes: TypeScript, Vue 3, Tailwind, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Prisma, AWS, REST APIs, WebSockets

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai will be discussed during the screening process and is competitive for the Berlin market at this experience level. The client also offers significant equity compensation as part of the total package.
