Network & Infrastructure Engineer (gn)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential international organization with modern locations and a robust IT landscape. In this role, you will:

• Operate and continuously develop the network infrastructure across German locations
• Administer firewalls, VPN connections, switching, routing, and VLAN environments
• Analyze and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues at 2nd and 3rd level support
• Ensure availability, performance, and security of the network landscape
• Manage core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, and certificate management
• Plan and execute infrastructure and network projects such as site connections, migrations, and system implementations
• Collaborate with external service providers and ensure adherence to defined standards and SLAs
• Document the environment and continuously improve operational processes

What We're Looking For

• Completed IT-focused education or vocational training
• Several years of IT professional experience (preferably 5+ years) operating IT infrastructures with network focus
• Very good German and good English language skills
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, VPN, and firewall technologies
• Experience with network monitoring and analysis of complex incidents
• Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, and foundational Windows Server and Active Directory structures
• Experience with hybrid IT infrastructures and virtualized environments (ideally VMware)
• Knowledge of modern IT security concepts
• Structured, solution-oriented work approach combined with proactivity and team spirit
