Pricing & Deal Desk Manager (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech client in Berlin that is building something unusual: an AI-powered pricing deal desk. This isn't a traditional revenue operations role—you'll be approving live commercial decisions while simultaneously training and refining the AI agent that supports the entire process.

Our client operates at the intersection of B2B SaaS and financial technology, serving mid-market companies across Europe. As deal volume grows and complexity increases, the Pricing & Deal Desk Manager will own one of the highest-leverage functions in the commercial organization.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day approval flow for non-standard pricing, discounts, and commercial terms, serving as the escalation point for sales representatives
• Build and evolve pricing governance frameworks, including discount rules, approval thresholds, and playbooks that convert exceptions into documented policy
• Drive deal health metrics across the funnel: discount discipline, price realization, deal structure, and win rate by segment
• Translate customer segmentation into differentiated pricing guidance and deal strategies in partnership with Sales
• Train and refine the AI deal desk agent by reviewing its output, correcting errors, and improving its decision-making logic over time
• Coach sales representatives on pricing confidence and value-based selling techniques
• Partner with Customer Success to ensure pricing consistency post-sale

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in deal desk, pricing, commercial operations, revenue operations, or sales strategy—ideally in B2B SaaS or fintech
• Strong analytical skills including SQL and advanced spreadsheet modeling
• The ability to leverage AI tools to build scalable pricing operations, or the appetite to learn quickly
• Fluent English; German or Dutch is a plus
• Commercial judgment: you understand how sales teams operate and how price sensitivity varies across customer segments
• The ability to hold the line on discount governance while remaining a trusted partner to Sales
• A critical eye for AI-generated output—you can spot when the agent is confidently wrong before a rep acts on it
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, low-process, high-change environment with high ownership expectations
• Fluidity moving between detailed data analysis and strategic thinking
