AI Tech Lead / Tech Lead de Inteligência Artificial

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization based in Brazil that is seeking an AI Tech Lead to drive their artificial intelligence initiatives. In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will:

• Serve as the technical reference for AI initiatives, guiding architecture decisions, implementation strategies, and solution evolution
• Mentor developers by supporting best practices, conducting solution reviews, and fostering technical growth across the team
• Design and evolve architectures for AI-based solutions including LLMs, agents, RAG systems, integrations, asynchronous processing, and caching layers
• Lead the technical delivery, operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production AI solutions
• Build and evolve pipelines, automations, and engineering practices for development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring of AI applications
• Define technical standards related to code quality, security, observability, documentation, and solution maintenance
• Evaluate AI tools, frameworks, and approaches to recommend optimal technical paths for the organization
• Collaborate with Product, Data, Security, and other teams to ensure technical feasibility and business impact of solutions
• Contribute hands-on to solution development, pattern definition, and problem resolution

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Solid software development experience, preferably 5+ years in engineering roles
• Proven experience developing, delivering, and operating AI solutions in production environments
• Experience as a technical reference in roles such as Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership position
• Strong system architecture background including APIs, asynchronous processing, caching, scalability, observability, and resilience
• Practical experience with LLM-based applications, agents, or RAG systems using frameworks such as Agno, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or similar solutions
• Experience with process automation, pipelines, CI/CD, data pipelines, or DevOps practices applied to AI solutions
• Knowledge of embeddings, semantic search, and quality evaluation of AI responses
• Ability to provide technical guidance, review solutions, propose standards, and make well-founded technical decisions
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development best practices
• Knowledge of infrastructure, networking, communication protocols, and cloud environments
• Experience with observability, debugging, and troubleshooting production systems
• Portuguese language proficiency required for this Brazil-based position

Preferred qualifications:

• Deep experience with MLOps, LLMOps, evaluation, versioning, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI solutions
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, Analytics, and Big Data tools including Spark, Hadoop, Pandas, and Python
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
• Familiarity with tools like Datadog, Langfuse, or similar platforms
• Experience technically leading AI initiatives from discovery through production
• Experience with guardrails, security, privacy, and responsible AI use
• Experience creating technical standards, guilds, internal communities, RFCs, or ADRs
