Senior Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Senior Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d) for their Berlin office. In this role, you will be part of the central accounting team, providing technical leadership to AP/AR accountants while collaborating closely with controlling, treasury, tax advisors, and auditors.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS standards
• Managing accounting operations for multiple entities independently
• Providing technical guidance and support to AP/AR accountants
• Contributing to group reporting and intercompany reconciliations
• Preparing VAT advance returns and other tax filings
• Coordinating and supporting annual audits and tax audits
• Participating in the development and optimization of the Oracle NetSuite ERP system
• Analyzing and improving accounting processes
• Collaborating with controlling, treasury, and operations departments

What We're Looking For

• Completed commercial training with further qualification as Bilanzbuchhalter or equivalent qualification
• Minimum five years of professional experience in accounting, including several years of independent preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards
• Experience working within a group/consolidation environment
• Good German and English language skills (minimum B2 level)
• Proficient in Excel; ERP experience (such as NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) is advantageous
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
