Transformation Strategy Manager

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential cybersecurity technology company in their search for a Transformation Strategy Manager. This is a unique opportunity to be the day-to-day operator inside an AI Transformation Office, owning how an entire organization redesigns work around AI capabilities.

You will be the connective tissue between transformation vision and execution—translating ambiguous AI opportunities into concrete requirements, running cross-functional workstreams across Sales, Customer Success, Support, Marketing, Finance, HR, Legal, and Engineering, and building the analytics layer that proves impact.

This role reports to the Director of AI Transformation within the Chief Transformation Officer's organization, with a dotted line into the People team. The position is based in the United States and focuses on both what gets built and how the organization operates differently as a result.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day lead translating transformation vision into shippable requirements for AI product managers and engineers, then drive cross-functional execution to deliver
• Build and maintain the enterprise capability map—the system of record for ownership, current state processes, and AI integration opportunities
• Run the transformation intake, prioritization, and operating cadence that sequences, resources, and advances the highest-value initiatives across functions
• Define solution paths for each prioritized transformation, including human tasks, AI capabilities, system integrations, and decision rationale
• Own the measurement layer: ROI analysis, business value assessment, metric trees, instrumentation, and executive analytics surfaces
• Drive role redesign, change management, and adoption with People Centers of Excellence and functional leaders to ensure transformations land in actual workflows
• Lead company-wide AI initiatives end-to-end—from problem framing through rollout—that drive step-change improvements crossing three or more functions

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Five or more years in investment banking or top-tier management consulting, with a track record of moving fast on ambiguous, high-stakes problems
• Demonstrated first-principles thinking: ability to take vague briefs, reframe them, and build cases that hold up to scrutiny from sharp executives
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, including building metric trees from scratch, pulling and structuring data, modeling scenarios, and presenting results independently
• Hands-on AI fluency: daily use of frontier AI tools for real work, having built or rebuilt at least one process around AI yourself, with credible understanding of where current AI excels versus falls short
• Cross-functional operator experience: proven ability to run multi-stakeholder initiatives without formal authority, demonstrating how you gained alignment, made tradeoffs, and shipped results
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills: ability to write one-pagers, build decks, and defend recommendations to leadership teams
• Bias for action and high tolerance for ambiguity, comfortable starting with a whiteboard and ending with shipped changes in weeks

Preferred:

• Technical degree in Computer Science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or another quantitative field
• Direct experience redesigning workflows around AI, even at individual or team level
• Prior exposure to fast-growing technology companies, ideally in security, infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS
• Experience with transformation, change management, or strategy office operating mechanics, including governance, prioritization frameworks, and executive reporting

Note on AI: This role exists because AI is fundamentally changing how work gets done. You should be a daily power user of frontier AI tools, comfortable building lightweight prototypes (agent workflows, scripts, or no-code solutions) to solve your own workflow problems, and able to discuss concrete projects where you have already redesigned processes using AI.
