Support Specialist – Expression of Interest – Leaving Violence Program

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in Australia that delivers critical support programs on behalf of government agencies. We are building a talent pool for Support Specialist positions within a national program that provides financial and practical assistance to individuals leaving situations of intimate partner violence.

Responsibilities

• Guide victim-survivors through application processes, including gathering documentation and determining program eligibility
• Provide short-term telephone-based support (up to 12 weeks), including regular check-ins and referral pathways
• Conduct risk and needs assessments in partnership with victim-survivors and develop safety plans
• Maintain timely, accurate notes, documentation, and follow-up actions in line with program expectations and KPIs
• Work within a structured, telephone-based environment delivering culturally safe support
• Recognize risk indicators, maintain professional boundaries, and escalate concerns appropriately

What We're Looking For

• Minimum three years' experience in the family, domestic, and sexual violence sector providing person-centered, trauma-informed support including risk assessment, safety planning, and service navigation
• Experience in an online or call center environment undertaking detailed risk and needs assessments with vulnerable populations
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments requiring accurate documentation, process adherence, and managing varying levels of vulnerability
• Strong ability to manage complex and sensitive situations with professionalism and care
• Excellent organizational skills with experience maintaining accurate documentation
• Experience navigating services and helping individuals access programs, supports, or referral pathways
• Willingness to work full-time Monday to Friday between 8:00am–6:00pm (local time) as part of a rotating roster
• Relevant bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field with eligibility for registration with a recognized professional body (AASW, AHPRA, ACA, PACFA, ACWA)
• Willingness to complete and maintain required compliance checks including valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check
