Senior Manager, Retail Operations

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential sports retail organization seeking a Senior Manager, Retail Operations to join their team in Paris. In this role, you will support the operational, commercial, and analytical management of retail activities spanning permanent stores, pop-up locations, and event venues across France.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the primary liaison between stores, head office, and support departments including Marketing, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain, ensuring alignment and coordinated execution of retail priorities across the French network
• Preparing business reviews, presentations, and strategic meeting materials to enable effective decision-making at leadership level
• Maintaining operational standards across all retail locations to ensure best-in-class customer experiences
• Collecting, consolidating, and analyzing retail data including sales, margin, conversion rate, average basket, and stock levels to surface improvement opportunities
• Updating and maintaining performance dashboards and reporting tools
• Preparing accurate weekly and monthly reports covering sales performance, KPIs, margins, and stock levels
• Supporting retail transformation projects including store openings, refurbishments, and pop-up activations
• Coordinating field visits, travel arrangements, and meetings for the Retail Director
• Managing the Retail Director's calendar, administrative priorities, meeting materials, and correspondence
• Monitoring store action plans and operational initiatives, ensuring accountability for progress tracking

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a retail and/or field operations environment, with demonstrable exposure to multi-site or network-level operations
• Strong command of retail KPIs including sales performance, average basket, conversion rate, stock management, and margin, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools, with experience building and maintaining performance dashboards used by senior stakeholders
• Proven experience coordinating across multiple functions (Marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain) in a fast-paced retail or commercial environment
• Experience supporting or leading retail projects such as store openings, pop-up activations, refurbishments, or promotional campaign execution
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing demands while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Professional level of English required, in addition to fluency in French; ability to operate confidently across both languages in a business context
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Management, Retail, or a related field
