About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization seeking Site Reliability Engineers to join their expanding team. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge resiliency initiatives, observability platforms, and cloud migration projects that directly impact service quality and uptime.

Our client is building a world-class SRE practice focused on proactive reliability engineering, chaos testing, and continuous improvement of their cloud environments. Responsibilities

• Implement and champion cloud resiliency best practices and the Well Architected Framework across all infrastructure initiatives
• Design and execute Chaos Engineering experiments to validate fault-tolerance and improve system reliability
• Plan and monitor cloud migration workloads to ensure seamless transitions with minimal business impact
• Design, consult on, and enhance observability solutions for current cloud infrastructure including re-platforming and re-factoring initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to address observability requirements at both individual and organizational levels
• Conduct regular compliance assessments of cloud deployments against organizational standards and industry best practices
• Investigate and remediate gaps in monitoring, logging, and alerting coverage
• Provide technical training and mentorship on emerging technologies, tools, methodologies, and SRE practices
• Participate in capacity planning, performance analysis, and system optimization efforts
• Analyze and improve organizational resiliency posture through systematic evaluation and remediation
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to support production systems

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience with cloud services, including at least 3 years specifically on AWS
• 3+ years in an SRE, DevOps, or similar reliability-focused engineering role
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, APM, logging, and notification tooling
• Working knowledge of incident, problem, and change management procedures
• Advanced understanding of SRE practices, methodologies, and Service Level concepts (SLIs, SLOs, SLAs)
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities with a track record of mentoring team members
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and its ecosystem of technologies and services
• Advanced proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code concepts, and tools including Terraform and CloudFormation
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• Excellent organizational skills with strong documentation habits
• Superior time management and research abilities
• Advanced knowledge of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and scripting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka
• Hands-on work with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Python or Go
