(Senior) UX Researcher (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join their product team. In this role, you will:

• Plan and execute research studies across the full spectrum—from foundational work shaping immediate product decisions to strategic research influencing long-term experience vision
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across multiple product areas, engaging early in the problem-definition phase
• Own research projects end-to-end: scoping questions, selecting appropriate methods, conducting studies, and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations
• Combine qualitative and quantitative methods including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, unmoderated testing, and behavioral/market data analysis
• Leverage AI tools in daily research work and help shape team-wide adoption practices
• Contribute to the research repository to ensure insights remain reusable and accessible for future work
• Conduct competitive benchmarking and triangulate findings with primary customer research to identify strategic opportunities
• Facilitate workshops and develop formats that effectively communicate insights, ensuring research findings influence product decisions

What We're Looking For

• Native or near-native German fluency and fluent English, as the majority of customer and seller interviews are conducted in German
• Several years of experience in qualitative and quantitative user research with in-depth expertise in UX methodologies
• Comprehensive understanding of customer-centric agile product development processes
• Strong capability in either qualitative or quantitative research while actively developing skills in the other domain
• Solid understanding of statistical methods and analytical thinking
• Experience conducting research at different product development stages—generative, solution validation, and end-to-end
• Proactive approach with strong ownership mentality and confidence presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels
• Pragmatic mindset, able to balance research speed and depth based on decision requirements
• Current experience using AI tools in research practice
• Team-oriented approach with enthusiasm for sharing work early, supporting colleagues, and continuous learning

This position offers flexibility to work remotely within Germany or from offices in Köln, Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, or Berlin. The role is available as a permanent contract, full-time or part-time.
