Forward Deployment Engineer, AI – US Remote

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer, AI to join their Professional Services team. This is a high-impact role focused on deploying AI voice agent solutions to healthcare customers, optimizing product performance, and streamlining implementation processes.

In this position, you'll be at the intersection of AI engineering and customer deployment, configuring systems for new healthcare clients, building evaluation frameworks, and extending core product capabilities. You'll work closely with Product and Customer Success teams to translate clinical requirements into validated, production-ready AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Configure and deploy AI voice agent solutions for new healthcare customers
• Build and maintain evaluation suites to validate system behavior, catch regressions, and tune prompts across customer deployments
• Develop new features and fixes to the core AI product platform
• Optimize system latency, inference costs, and implement hallucination guardrails
• Establish and improve model evaluation, benchmarking, and observability capabilities
• Monitor and enforce cost controls, usage patterns, and security/PHI handling requirements
• Own customer go-live processes, post-launch monitoring, and production issue debugging
• Partner with Product and Customer Success teams to convert customer requirements into working deployments
• Automate and streamline the onboarding process to reduce engineering effort per customer implementation

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python backend development skills
• 1+ years of production experience working with LLM APIs and deploying GenAI systems at scale
• Experience with cloud-native architecture, preferably AWS
• Background working in regulated or security-conscious environments (healthcare experience valued)
• Product-minded systems thinker who is comfortable with ambiguity and executive-level communication
• Ability to translate non-technical customer requirements into working technical configurations
• Experience with voice or conversational AI systems is a plus

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $120,000 to $140,000 USD per year
