Senior Data Analyst, GTM Analytics – CANADA

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential Series C SaaS organization in their search for a Senior Data Analyst, GTM Analytics based in Canada. Our client has achieved significant scale and is building a modern, AI-forward analytics practice to support their Go-To-Market teams.

This role offers the opportunity to shape how Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success leaders make data-driven decisions. You'll work on a BI-as-code platform where dashboards, metrics, and semantic definitions are version-controlled like software, and you'll help build agentic analytics workflows that leverage AI to answer business questions faster.

You'll report to a Senior Manager of Analytics and operate in fast-paced two-week sprints alongside Analytics Engineering, seeing your work ship and get used immediately.

Responsibilities

• Deliver decision-ready analysis across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success: pipeline health, funnel conversion, campaign performance, cohort retention, and revenue drivers
• Partner directly with GTM stakeholders to scope questions, frame recommendations, and drive analysis through to decisions—not just dashboard handoffs
• Build and maintain dbt models and data marts for GTM domains, with Salesforce as a core source system
• Own data quality and documentation for your domain, establishing clear definitions and source-of-truth tables
• Contribute to an internal BI-as-code platform, helping define how dashboards, metrics, and semantic models get written, versioned, and reviewed like software
• Push analytics workflows toward agentic AI: using AI agents to accelerate analysis, automate recurring reporting, and reduce manual dashboard requests
• Operate in two-week sprints, planning and prioritizing your backlog against team objectives
• Provide clear, proactive status updates to stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Experience:

• 5+ years in analytics/BI supporting Sales, Marketing, or Customer Success at a fast-growing company
• Expert SQL skills and hands-on dbt experience modeling GTM data
• Comfortable with Python for analysis and automation
• Experience working with Salesforce as a data source—understanding CRM objects, fields, and modeling challenges
• Familiarity with modern data stack: ELT tooling (Fivetran or similar) and cloud warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Experience with modern BI tools (Sigma, Hex, Tableau, Looker, or similar) is a strong plus
• Understanding of governed semantic layers, self-serve dashboards, and BI-as-code approaches

AI & Technical Fluency:

• Genuine curiosity about agentic analytics—you've used AI agents or LLM tools to accelerate analysis
• Hands-on experience with coding agents (Claude Code or similar) is a strong plus
• Comfort using AI to move faster on dbt models, scripting, and analysis

Mindset:

• Strong communicator who can frame recommendations clearly for non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable owning deliverables through to closure, not just the analysis phase
• Energized by ambiguity and fast iteration in a sprint-based environment
• Able to bring structure to ambiguous requests and translate business questions into clear analytical approaches
