About This Opportunity
We are representing a licensed payment institution at the heart of Europe's digital economy. Our client secures online payments for crowdfunding platforms, collaborative economy services, marketplaces, and e-commerce actors, with a strong commitment to fraud prevention and fund protection.
Regulated primarily by the French ACPR and holding a European passport valid across 29 countries, this confidential fintech organization manages over 1.5 million user wallets and serves more than 400 platforms. Profitable since 2023 and targeting 25% annual growth, they are seeking exceptional talent ready to tackle ambitious challenges.
Within the Compliance & Risk department, the Senior Regulatory Officer will join the Regulatory team and contribute directly to regulatory compliance across French and European jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular regulatory watch on developments applicable to payment service providers in France and Europe (PSD3, MiCA, DORA, instant payments, etc.)
- Draft analytical notes on operational impacts of new regulations for internal teams
- Contribute to preparation of periodic regulatory reporting (prudential reports, capital requirements, activity declarations)
- Participate in preparing responses to information requests from ACPR and European regulators
- Monitor compliance with PSP licensing conditions: capital requirements, client fund segregation, governance
- Contribute to licensing modification applications and passporting procedures
- Analyze new products and services from a regulatory perspective prior to launch
- Update internal regulatory policies and procedures
- Respond to regulatory questions from commercial, product, and tech teams on a daily basis
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree (Bac +5) in business law, banking and financial law, or equivalent
- CAPA (attorney qualification) or Master's in financial law/compliance appreciated
- More than 5 years of experience on regulatory subjects related to payment services, fintech, or banking sector
- Strong knowledge of payment services regulation (PSD2/PSD3, ACPR licensing, prudential rules)
- Demonstrated interest in emerging topics: MiCA, DORA, open banking, instant payments
- Ability to write clear and concise analyses on technical subjects
- Rigor, intellectual curiosity, and autonomy in work organization
- Fluent French (primary working language)
- Professional English required - minimum C1 level (internal procedures, interactions with European regulators, international partners)
