Product Manager, Editing Foundations

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential visual technology client in their search for a Product Manager to own their core editing platform. This role sits at the heart of a product used by hundreds of millions of users worldwide, spanning iOS, Android, and web platforms. You'll be responsible for the editor experience that powers e-commerce visual creation, working within a Product Foundations team dedicated to building essential product experiences.

This is a hybrid role based in Paris, France.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end single- and multi-image editing experiences across iOS, Android, web, and API surfaces
• Build a unified visual editing experience that maintains consistency and quality across three platforms
• Integrate visual editing workflows with AI-powered generation tools, enabling users to move seamlessly from automated creation to fine-grained manual editing
• Define user problems before jumping to solutions, partnering closely with design and engineering to ship work that feels effortless
• Maintain direct contact with e-commerce sellers through weekly user research sessions, feeding insights directly into roadmap decisions
• Pull and interpret product data yourself—including crash rates, latency metrics, and cross-platform parity—to form hypotheses, measure outcomes, and determine next steps
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, designers, and other product managers who depend on the editor foundation

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience with multiple successful product launches demonstrating both user problem-solving and business impact
• Proven experience owning a creative product surface such as an editor, canvas, or similar tool that gives users creative control
• Active daily use of AI tools (Claude or equivalent) for prototyping, user testing, or workflow automation—your value comes from strategy and direction, not administrative tasks
• Demonstrable product taste with specific examples of work where details matter, and clear articulation of decisions made (including ones you'd change in hindsight)
• Ability to create clarity from ambiguous problems, structuring fuzzy challenges and taking decisive action without waiting for direction
• Data fluency: comfortable pulling, interpreting, and challenging data independently to form perspectives rather than confirm existing views
• Proven ability to thrive in small, high-autonomy teams and fully remote, async-first environments with minimal scaffolding

Nice to Have:

• Experience building creative tools or products where craft and visual quality are paramount
• Understanding of photography or videography workflows
• Experience shipping native mobile products alongside web platforms
• Entrepreneurial background (started, built, or run a business or product)
