Solution Architect

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential client in the European institutional sector for a Solution Architect position based remotely within the EU, with location flexibility in Strasbourg, France. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale IT modernization initiatives in a multilingual, multicultural environment.

You will be integrated into a development team working closely with major institutional IT stakeholders, designing and implementing architectural solutions that meet complex business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understand, interpret, and respond to detailed business requirements specifications and translate them into architecture solutions and technical specifications
• Customize and utilize architecture, modelling, and design tools to develop conceptual architecture models using enterprise architectural standards
• Define solution components and analyze existing systems for reusable elements
• Design, develop, test, and deploy customized artifacts including reports, data scripts, diagrams, object layouts, and tool configurations according to specifications
• Identify system, infrastructure, and project interdependencies while balancing competing demands to ensure deliverables are achieved
• Assess the usage of enterprise modelling tools and provide guidance on governance, conventions, procedures, methods, and configurations to optimize effectiveness

What We're Looking For

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in IT
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a technology architect, data architect, or applications/services architect
• Experience in software development within agile environments
• Experience with on-premise, virtualization, and cloud-based infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Hands-on experience with OCP, Postgres, and Kafka
• Solutions architecture and design experience across software, cloud, and data projects
• Hands-on knowledge in the administration, customization, and use of architecture and modelling tools (e.g., Sparx EA)
• Excellent knowledge of architecture solutions design, modelling, and project management
• Strong expertise in key IT domains: software engineering, security, system and network management, transaction processing, data management, cloud platforms
• Knowledge of security best practices and tools
• TOGAF Practitioner certification required
• Excellent command of the English language
• Biometrics knowledge is considered a strong asset
