About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential intelligence and data services firm based in Paris. Our client serves institutional investors and corporate strategy teams with proprietary market intelligence across thousands of technology companies. They are scaling rapidly and need an experienced Product Manager to own delivery across their platform end-to-end.

This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer. You will work closely with engineering, data, and research teams to ship features that combine sophisticated software with deep data infrastructure. If you thrive on ownership, curiosity, and shipping outcomes—not handoffs—this role offers a clear path toward Lead PM and Product Director.

Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Delivery

  • Own the roadmap and maintain a well-groomed backlog prioritized on user value and impact
  • Write clear user stories, specs, and acceptance criteria for engineering
  • Partner with engineering to ensure agile, proactive delivery
  • Make transparent scope and trade-off decisions balancing value, effort, and readiness

Discovery & User Value

  • Conduct user interviews with investors, analysts, and internal teams; turn pain points into solvable problems
  • Validate ideas quickly through prototypes, user testing, and data spot-checks
  • Brief and collaborate with external design partners; review designs and maintain high quality standards
  • Define success metrics and track adoption, usage, and satisfaction post-release

Quality & Reliability

  • Own definition of done: ensure features and underlying data are correct before release
  • Hold a high quality bar; triage bugs, catch regressions, and address root causes
  • Monitor releases post-launch for usage, errors, and data quality issues
  • Partner with engineering and data teams on test coverage and continuous product improvement

Keeping Tech & Data in Sync

  • Co-plan releases with data engineering so features and required data pipelines land together
  • Maintain shared visibility on which data (enrichment, taxonomies, tagging) must be ready for which feature, and by when

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Keep leadership, go-to-market, and research teams aligned on roadmap, progress, and trade-offs
  • Translate between technical, data, and business audiences effectively

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

  • 3 to 6 years as a Product Owner or Product Manager on a software product, ideally B2B SaaS
  • Strong agile delivery track record: backlog ownership, clear specs, and consistent shipping
  • Solid product and business sense: able to run discovery, prioritize effectively, and define and track success metrics
  • Comfortable with data: experience working on products with meaningful data layers and ability to collaborate with data engineers on coverage and quality
  • Fluent English (working language); French is a plus but not required

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Exposure to AI/LLM-powered features, search, or retrieval products
  • Familiarity with private equity, financial services, market intelligence, or data-provider environments
  • Analytical and hands-on: comfortable checking things yourself in SQL or BI/analytics tools
  • Experience with taxonomies, metadata, knowledge bases, or content-heavy platforms

Who You Are:

  • You treat features as unfinished until genuinely done—working, tested, data correct—while balancing pace
  • You are proactive, curious, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
