Temporary General/GL Accountant – CDD 5 Months

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential cybersecurity technology organization in France seeking a temporary General/GL Accountant for a 5-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to provide critical accounting support during a major ERP implementation while working in a fully remote, international environment.

You'll be joining during an exciting period of systems transition, helping maintain accurate financial operations across multiple entities while the core finance team implements a new enterprise resource planning platform.

Responsibilities

General Ledger & Closing

• Maintain accurate GL entries across French, US, and Australian entities
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and provisions
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions across entities
• Support audit requests and ensure complete accounting documentation

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Process supplier invoices with appropriate coding and approval
• Create and review new suppliers; reconcile supplier accounts
• Manage expense reports and respond to accounting queries
• Issue customer invoices and support collection activities
• Reconcile customer accounts and monitor aging balances
• Support revenue reconciliation processes

ERP Implementation Support

• Support the finance team during the ERP transition
• Perform parallel testing and validate accounting flows and data
• Identify discrepancies between systems and support reconciliation
• Provide operational capacity so the core team can focus on implementation
• Leverage automation tools to improve accounting workflows

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in General/GL Accounting
• Strong hands-on experience across GL, AP, and AR
• Experience managing month-end closing, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and intercompany transactions
• Proven hands-on experience with Pennylane and Odoo
• Experience in international, multi-entity, and multi-currency environments
• Comfortable with accounting operations across different jurisdictions; exposure to France, US, and/or Australia highly valued
• Excellent attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
• Ability to quickly understand existing processes and work autonomously
• Comfortable in remote, fast-paced environments
• Fluent English required; French is a plus

Bonus Qualifications:

• Hands-on NetSuite experience
• Experience supporting an ERP implementation or migration
• Background in Tech, SaaS, or scale-up environments
• Experience with multi-currency accounting and consolidation
• Comfort leveraging AI-powered tools and automation
