Product Owner

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in their search for a Product Owner. Our client operates at the intersection of healthcare operations and technology, building solutions that improve collaboration and efficiency across the healthcare ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to shape product execution in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

As Product Owner, you will bridge product strategy and engineering execution, managing the product backlog and translating business needs into clear, actionable development work. You'll collaborate across engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to deliver features that drive both revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Management to execute on product vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with stakeholder needs and business objectives
• Translate user needs into clear, actionable JIRA tickets with well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with internal teams routinely to identify product needs and establish prioritizations
• Support Engineering in release planning, backlog refinement, and delivery timelines
• Participate in testing and validation of new features to ensure quality standards are met
• Partner with QA to ensure acceptance criteria support comprehensive test creation
• Monitor feature adoption and gather user feedback to inform continuous improvements
• Serve as primary liaison between Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders for requirement discussions
• Develop deep understanding of customer workflows, operational processes, and healthcare business needs
• Advocate for end-user experience throughout all development lifecycles
• Escalate issues and recommendations to Product Management as needed
• Collaborate with Finance and other teams to support business cases and ROI analysis

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• Experience in project management or product lifecycle management, including backlog ownership, prioritization, requirements gathering, and release management
• Experience presenting to upper management
• Entrepreneurial spirit and self-starter mindset
• Ability to break down complex technical problems and processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Strong leadership capabilities
• Ability to handle complex, ambiguous situations
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and JIRA
• Background in healthcare technology
• Experience conducting product demonstrations
