Financial Project Analyst-Argentina

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential clinical research organization seeking a Financial Project Analyst in Argentina. In this role, you will track and report on project profitability while collaborating with project teams, clients, and internal departments to ensure financial performance and service quality.

Project and Budget Set-Up:

• Review client agreements and convert them into internal cost structures
• Create and configure projects in project management and financial systems
• Prepare and upload project budgets and related amendments in the project management tool
• Participate in identifying and pricing out-of-scope services

Revenue/Expenses Recognition and Project Reconciliation:

• Ensure revenue and expenses are recognized based on applicable accounting standards and contractual requirements
• Create journal entries for accruals and project allocation according to month-end schedule
• Review actual project revenues and costs against budget and forecast, identifying variances
• Prepare detailed financial reports including profit and loss statements, financial projections, and invoicing status
• Monitor and ensure accuracy of project balance sheet accounts
• Maintain organized financial records of all project data

Invoice Management:

• Review project invoicing and provide expertise as needed
• Ensure all invoices are produced and paid at study completion
• Serve as main point of contact for clients on invoicing questions

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:

• Work closely with project managers to understand financial implications
• Provide financial guidance to help teams manage budgets and control costs
• Facilitate regular financial review meetings with stakeholders
• Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation
• Identify process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy

What We're Looking For

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in project accounting
• CPA certification is an asset

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
• Professional judgment and proven interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Critical thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with financial management tools and office software (Excel, Power BI, ERP)
• Comfortable working in an environment of constant evolution
