About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential social science research organization in Mannheim, Germany. We are seeking a Student Research Assistant to join their microdata team starting October 1, 2026. This is a 36-hour-per-week fixed-term position ideal for a Bachelor's or Master's student in the social sciences who wants hands-on experience with large-scale survey data and statistical analysis.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and documentation of European Labour Force Survey data
- Conduct literature reviews and summarize research findings
- Support ongoing research activities within the microdata team
- Contribute to data quality assurance and documentation processes
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a social science Bachelor's or ideally Master's program
- Strong proficiency in R, Stata, or another statistical software package
- Prior experience with data preparation and analysis
- Very careful, reliable, and self-directed working style
- Excellent German language skills and good English proficiency
- Interest in a longer-term employment arrangement
- Demonstrated interest in empirical social research and official statistics
