About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential European e-commerce gifting business in their search for a Senior Paid Search Manager based in London. Our client operates across multiple markets and has grown rapidly to become a leader in their space, with ambitious plans to expand beyond their core offering into new product categories.

This is a strategic, hands-on role where you'll own the entire paid search function across Google and Microsoft platforms, managing agency relationships, budgets, and campaign performance across the UK, Germany, Netherlands, and additional markets. You'll be the internal expert driving innovation in search marketing while working closely with brand, product, data, and international teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute paid search strategy across Google Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and App Campaigns for multiple markets and product categories
• Manage end-to-end search budgets, tracking customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and retention costs to inform investment decisions
• Oversee and hold accountable third-party agency partners, ensuring they meet performance targets, SLAs, and adopt cutting-edge tactics including beta programs and new platform features
• Define keyword strategy, ad copy testing frameworks, and audience-targeting approaches to optimize Quality Score, CTR, and conversion efficiency
• Manage Google App Campaigns and Apple Search Ads to drive app installs and engagement aligned to retention goals
• Serve as the primary contact with Google account managers to unlock alpha/beta opportunities, escalate issues, and secure strategic support
• Own and continuously improve product feeds and backend processes for Google Shopping and Performance Max campaigns
• Translate channel performance data into actionable insights using Tableau and in-platform reporting to shape the wider paid media roadmap and forecasting
• Stay current on platform best practices, algorithm updates, and AI-driven search innovations, sharing knowledge across the marketing team through mentorship and presentations
• Monitor competitor landscape and protect share of voice, particularly during peak trading periods

What We're Looking For

• Extensive hands-on experience managing Google Search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns at scale; Microsoft Advertising or App Campaigns experience is a bonus
• Strong proficiency with analytics tools, conversion tracking, and Google Merchant Center, with confidence navigating privacy and consent-driven measurement changes
• Data-driven decision-maker comfortable using in-platform tools and Tableau to analyze performance across custom-built e-commerce platforms
• Proven track record managing third-party agencies to drive results and maintain strategic alignment
• Proactive, hands-on approach with full ownership mentality and willingness to execute tactically when needed
• Strong organizational skills with thoughtful approach to planning and prioritization aligned to business goals
• Curious and adaptable mindset with enthusiasm for testing new technologies, features, and optimization opportunities
• Deep practical knowledge of modern AI within search engine marketing, including platform-level generative AI features and algorithmic updates
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues and act as the go-to paid search expert across the marketing organization
