About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential mobile gaming company in Hamburg that is experiencing significant growth. Our client is building high-performing consumer products in a highly competitive environment and needs a Senior Data Analyst to join their interdisciplinary data team.

This role is ideal for experienced analysts who want to move beyond siloed work and operate as a generalist across product, commercial, and financial domains. You'll work in an environment where AI tools handle routine analysis, allowing you to focus on judgment, framing, and impact. This is a hybrid position based in Hamburg, requiring office presence Tuesday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Support, and Operations teams to support evidence-based decision making
  • Transform ambiguous business questions into structured hypotheses, experiments, and decision-ready analyses
  • Use AI tools and modern data platforms as core components of your daily analytical workflow, working with high-frequency data that updates every few minutes
  • Track and analyze performance across product, campaign, revenue, and profitability dimensions
  • Build dashboards and self-service tools that enable teams to monitor performance independently
  • Identify gaps in data tracking and instrumentation, helping improve data quality across the organization
  • Adapt quickly when working with different stakeholder teams, contributing decision-ready work within weeks of transition
  • Share analytical thinking and methodologies openly to accelerate team learning

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in product, business, or behavioral analytics, ideally spanning multiple domains such as product, marketing, finance, or commercial operations
  • B2C, mobile gaming, or AdTech experience is a strong plus
  • Genuine hands-on experience using AI tools like Claude as part of your daily analytical workflow
  • Strong Databricks and/or Spark experience with several years of real, hands-on exposure
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills for analysis, automation, and modeling
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar) for dashboard creation
  • Comfort framing ambiguous questions into structured hypotheses and evaluating experiments including A/B tests and incrementality studies
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders through data-driven argumentation
  • Independent, solution-oriented mindset and comfort operating in fast-paced, international environments
  • German work authorization (this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship)
