About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential nonprofit organization focused on environmental advocacy. They are seeking two part-time undergraduate interns for Spring 2027 to join their public affairs and communications function. This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere in the United States.
As an intern, you'll work alongside a strategic communications team that partners with legal experts, policy professionals, and advocacy coalitions to advance campaigns related to climate and environmental issues. This structured learning opportunity will allow you to build practical skills in public-interest communications while contributing to meaningful work.
Responsibilities
- Support development and execution of communications campaigns under supervision of the team manager
- Draft press releases, media advisories, reporter pitches, op-eds, and similar materials
- Monitor and track news coverage on climate and energy topics, producing reports on narrative trends and emerging opportunities
- Share insights and briefings on message testing, polling data, and research findings
- Collaborate across the communications department and with coalition partners
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior during Spring 2027
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and ability to learn new digital tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to commit to 15-18 hours per week
- Passion for environmental and climate issues
- Demonstrated commitment to justice, excellence, inclusion, and partnership
