Senior sustainability advisor (engagement manager – jr. partner level)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software client in their search for a Senior Sustainability Advisor to join their London office. Our client works with Fortune 500 companies and global enterprises on climate and environmental data management. This role sits at the engagement manager to junior partner level and offers the opportunity to shape sustainability strategies for some of the world's most consequential organizations.

As a trusted advisor, you'll lead strategic engagements spanning decarbonization planning, climate target setting, and regulatory disclosure across Scopes 1-3. You'll work independently with sustainability leaders, translating complex frameworks into actionable strategies while helping build market-leading sustainability solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sustainability engagements for enterprise clients, covering target setting, decarbonization planning, environmental impact management, and regulatory reporting
• Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite sustainability leaders, developing practical strategies and building business cases for climate action
• Monitor and interpret emerging frameworks, regulations, and market developments, translating them into clear guidance for clients and internal teams
• Explore emerging sustainability needs across industries and prototype new approaches to create client value
• Contribute to thought leadership, customer-facing materials, and internal knowledge development to establish strong market positioning
• Partner with product and commercial teams to integrate sustainability intelligence into platform development and go-to-market strategy
• Manage multiple stakeholder relationships across organizational levels while driving strategic initiatives in complex environments

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in client-facing consulting roles and at least 4 years working in sustainability
• Experience at Senior Manager or Engagement Manager level (or above) at a leading consulting firm
• Deep expertise in corporate decarbonization and climate frameworks including GHG Protocol, PCAF, SBTi, and ISO standards
• Strong familiarity with reporting frameworks and regulations such as CSRD, LSRS, CCDAA, ASRS, ISSB, and CDP
• Excellent analytical capabilities with comfort working with data in fast-paced environments
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present complex analyses to C-suite audiences
• Proven track record driving strategic initiatives and influencing decision-making across multiple stakeholders
• Strong interest in climate solutions and enthusiasm for shaping the future of corporate sustainability
• Fluency in multiple languages (English, Spanish, French, or German) is advantageous
• This role requires working from the London office 4 days per week
