About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential insurance organization seeking a Paralegal to provide litigation support across their legal operations. This role reports to a Paralegal Manager and handles routine litigation matters including client communication, discovery, pleading preparation, and legal research under attorney direction.
Location: United States (remote, excluding California)
Employment Type: Full-time
Note: Working hours align with specific time zones to support assigned office teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research using legal databases to locate relevant case law, statutes, and regulations supporting attorney case strategies
- Manage legal documents, deadlines, and electronically stored information during litigation using case management and e-discovery tools
- Evaluate legal matters to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate courses of action under moderate guidance
- Independently manage discrete projects within legal matters, ensuring effective planning, organization, and resource allocation
- Apply analytical skills to break down legal information, identify patterns, and prepare basic legal documents
- Communicate effectively with clients, actively listening to concerns and proactively addressing needs
- Draft clear, concise written and verbal communications across all stakeholder interactions
What We're Looking For
- Paralegal certificate OR 2+ years of non-clerical litigation experience working under attorney direction (required)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Proven ability to perform thorough legal research using advanced techniques
- Experience independently drafting legal documents including motions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for interactions with attorneys, clients, policyholders, and judges
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated independent judgment and effective work prioritization abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and corporate/legal databases
