About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential public health consulting organization seeking a Senior Consultant to lead monitoring, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives. This remote position supports evidence-based community health programs across state and local government partnerships throughout the United States.
As a Senior Consultant, you'll design and deliver complex evaluation projects while managing client relationships and coordinating multi-stakeholder engagements. This role combines rigorous analytical methodology with strong project leadership, requiring someone who can translate technical findings into actionable insights for public health decision-makers.
Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Design and implement evaluation frameworks including logic models, indicator design, data collection planning, analysis, and reporting
- Conduct epidemiologic analyses, surveillance reviews, community health assessments, and data-driven assessments
- Apply contribution analysis and evaluative approaches for complex public health programs
- Support quality improvement engagements by identifying improvement opportunities and developing guidance tools
- Serve as project manager and primary client contact on assigned engagements, maintaining scope, schedule, and budget
- Coordinate across internal teams, client staff, subcontractors, and partner organizations
- Manage client relationships with senior health department leadership and state agency personnel
- Prepare technical reports, data summaries, dashboards, presentations, and policy documentation
- Facilitate evaluation discussions, quality improvement sessions, and community outreach activities
- Support business development through proposal writing and scope development
- Mentor junior staff assigned to quality improvement engagements
Project work comprises approximately 85% of this role, with 10% dedicated to business development and 5% to administrative tasks.
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience, including 4+ years in a consulting firm environment
- Minimum 5 years client-facing experience with 2+ years in project leadership roles
- Proven track record managing client relationships and expanding account scope through quality delivery
- Strong analytical abilities across quantitative and/or qualitative methods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex findings for diverse audiences
- Strong project management capabilities including timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and proactive risk identification
- Skilled facilitator for evaluation discussions and community engagement sessions
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, R, Stata, Tableau, or similar)
- Familiarity with public health systems at local and state levels
- Understanding of evaluation frameworks and performance management approaches
- Solution-oriented mindset in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (sponsorship not available)
Preferred qualifications:
- People management experience
- Experience with program evaluation design, epidemiologic methods, quality improvement, or public health accreditation support
- State-scale or multi-site evaluation design experience
- Familiarity with data modernization in public health contexts

Pay
The client's salary range for this position is $91,520 - $151,840 annually. New hires are typically positioned between the minimum and midpoint based on experience and internal equity.
