Senior Technical Architect – Hybrid (Product / Platform) (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization seeking a Senior Technical Architect to own the technical design across a hybrid cloud landscape. In this role, you will bridge cloud-native product architecture with enterprise platform integration, spending approximately 70% of your time on public cloud product architecture and 30% on private cloud platform architecture.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Designing microservices architectures using Node.js with API-first and event-driven patterns
• Defining service boundaries, data flows, and integration patterns for multi-tenant SaaS products
• Architecting AI integration features, including LLM services, RAG patterns, and agentic workflows over product and platform data
• Designing the integration layer between cloud-native products and private cloud ERP systems, including API contracts, event-driven communication, and data synchronization strategies
• Providing architectural guidance for private cloud extensions following clean core principles
• Collaborating with infrastructure teams on containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD pipeline design spanning hybrid environments
• Creating high-level design documents, solution design documents, and technical design documents at epic level
• Participating in architecture board reviews and translating enterprise guardrails into actionable design standards

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a seasoned architect with deep expertise in both cloud-native and enterprise platform environments:

• Several years of experience as an architect in cloud-native environments with strong expertise in Node.js
• Proven experience designing microservices, API architectures, and event-driven systems
• Hands-on experience integrating AI capabilities into software products
• Cloud architecture experience including containers, orchestration, and scaling strategies
• Working knowledge of private cloud ERP systems and clean core extension patterns
• Demonstrated track record designing integration between cloud-native applications and ERP core systems
• High technical credibility with senior engineers across both cloud-native and enterprise platform teams

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with enterprise platform-as-a-service offerings and cloud application programming models
• Exposure to supply chain management processes and ERP modules (sales, materials management, warehouse management)
• Familiarity with enterprise development frameworks at review level
• Experience with HANA Cloud, vector databases, and generative AI orchestration frameworks
• Demonstrated use of AI assistants in architecture work, including design exploration, documentation generation, and prototype development

The role requires habitual, critical use of AI tools in daily engineering work while maintaining awareness of data protection and confidentiality boundaries. You should be comfortable designing AI-native product capabilities with consideration for cost, latency, and operational risk.
