About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential retail technology organization seeking a Customer Engineer to serve clients across Jylland, Denmark. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in field engineering with hands-on experience maintaining point-of-sale systems, self-service kiosks, and related hardware.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and replace modules on point-of-sale terminals, self-checkout systems, PCs, workstations, and peripheral devices
- Perform second-line maintenance on self-service kiosks and related equipment
- Install, maintain, and repair equipment within your assigned territory to ensure customer operations continue smoothly
- Take ownership of customer problems and incidents until resolved to satisfaction and in accordance with Service Level Agreements
- Manage your schedule effectively with minimal supervision, working independently across your region
- Handle prolonged travel, carrying and lifting tools and parts of varying weights
- Work flexible hours including potential rotating shifts as needed
What We're Looking For
- Valid full Danish driving license (required)
- Experience in break/fix, IT support, or computer/mechanical repair preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
- Basic computer hardware and software knowledge
- Experience with Windows operating systems
- PC hardware maintenance experience
- Basic networking skillset (opportunity to develop infrastructure skills further)
- High level of mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to learn new skills quickly
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
- Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to perform prolonged bending, squatting, walking, standing, and sitting
