(Senior) Key Account Manager – Automotive | Climate Tech startup

Responsibilities

We are representing a fast-growing climate tech organization in their search for a (Senior) Key Account Manager focused on automotive accounts. In this role, you will own and expand a portfolio of enterprise automotive customers while strategically opening new accounts in the industrial supplier space.

Your primary focus will be deepening relationships with existing enterprise accounts—driving expansion, identifying additional use cases, and ensuring successful renewals. You'll build multi-threaded relationships across sustainability, procurement, and operations teams at large automotive OEMs and Tier 1/2 suppliers.

You'll translate environmental intelligence platform capabilities into concrete value for automotive-specific challenges, including CBAM compliance, Scope 3 emissions tracking, and supply chain decarbonization. Running a consultative, value-based sales process (MEDDIC or SPICED) rather than feature-led pitches will be essential.

Working closely with technical deployment teams, you'll ensure accounts are positioned for long-term success and expansion. You'll also partner directly with senior leadership to build and refine account strategy from the ground up.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years in enterprise SaaS sales or key account management with demonstrable quota overachievement and career progression
• Direct experience selling into automotive OEMs or Tier 1/2 suppliers with strong understanding of industry transformation challenges
• Background in PLM, enterprise software, or value-based SaaS environments, ideally with automotive or industrial manufacturing exposure
• Startup or high-growth company experience—you know how to build processes, not just follow them
• Proven track record of growing existing accounts and achieving quota targets
• Fluent in both German and English
• Based in Munich or willing to relocate; this role requires in-person presence (3 days per week) for team collaboration
