Senior Specialist, Employee Relations – EMEA

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential global HR technology organization seeking a Senior Specialist in Employee Relations for the EMEA region. In this role, you will manage the complete employee exit process across multiple international jurisdictions while providing first-level employee relations support to clients navigating workplace concerns.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Managing end-to-end employee exits including terminations, resignations, and transfers across various countries, ensuring legal compliance and excellent service delivery
• Leading and facilitating sensitive meetings including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation negotiations, and termination discussions
• Providing expert guidance on HR matters such as employment contracts, redundancy processes, and termination procedures while balancing multiple stakeholder interests
• Coordinating with internal teams (payroll, legal, benefits) and external parties (government bodies, trade unions, legal counsel) to ensure compliant offboarding processes
• Drafting and administering termination documents with meticulous attention to detail while maintaining strict confidentiality and privacy compliance
• Conducting preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying applicable regulations, and coordinating appropriate resources
• Supporting clients in understanding progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements
• Processing exits within the HRIS platform and maintaining accurate employee records
• Monitoring ongoing employee relations cases and ensuring timely follow-up
• Contributing to process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhanced customer experience across the employee lifecycle

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings substantial HR experience with a strong foundation in employee relations and exit management:

• Proven experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist competencies across the employee lifecycle
• Demonstrated expertise managing both voluntary and involuntary terminations with sensitivity, care, and legal compliance
• Strong background providing HR guidance on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
• Ability to interpret industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, conduct research, and provide practical solutions in ambiguous situations
• Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals
• Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills with the ability to lead difficult conversations to positive outcomes
• Business-level (advanced) proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
• Strong aptitude for process optimization, automation, and implementing best practices
• Meticulous attention to detail with commitment to thorough record-keeping and data integrity
• Tech-savvy with ability to collaborate asynchronously using various tools and adapt to evolving systems
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote, international environment with multiple priorities and flexible hours as needed
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Demonstrated AI fluency and strong automation capabilities
