The Platform team is responsible for designing and maintaining essential backend services, including payments, analytics, subscriptions, and external APIs. This is a strategic role ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about building scalable systems that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public text-to-speech APIs, internal payment systems, subscription management, authentication, and consumption tracking services
• Oversee the complete backend API landscape, continuously enhancing and optimizing for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Collaborate on B2B solutions with a focus on customization and integration requirements for enterprise clients
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience goals

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in backend development with TypeScript/Node.js (required)
• Direct hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact, with efficient ideation and implementation skills
• Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
• Preferred: Proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes
• Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic
• Strategic thinking capabilities with product decision-making experience
