Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential data analytics consultancy seeking a Senior Data Visualization Engineer to join their team in a hybrid capacity based in München. Working across the full project lifecycle using agile SCRUM methodologies, you will:
- Lead demanding data and visual analytics projects from conception through delivery
- Take ownership of collecting, integrating, and analyzing global data from diverse systems and heterogeneous data sources
- Identify relevant patterns, correlations, and trends in data to generate well-founded insights and decision-making foundations
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and quality while establishing sustainable, repeatable analysis and reporting processes
- Independently analyze business questions, define challenges, and develop suitable customer-oriented solution concepts
- Design and implement visualizations and dashboards following established best practices and modern visual analytics methods
- Develop custom interactive visualizations and scalable analytics applications
- Create intuitive visual user interfaces and support UI development to optimize user interaction with data
- Provide technical guidance to all business units and interdisciplinary skill teams in the area of visual analytics
What We're Looking For
Our client needs someone with a strong foundation in data visualization and analytics platforms:
- Completed degree in a quantitative or analytically focused field such as Business Informatics, Data Science, or similar qualification
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
- Minimum 3 years full-time professional experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, and ideally Python
- Experience with Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and ETL/ELT concepts
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Azure, AWS, and Data Governance is advantageous
- High quality awareness, analytical thinking, and strong sense for user-friendliness and visual design
- Pronounced analytical abilities, structured and proactive approach, combined with pragmatism
