IT Infrastructure Administrator (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to take ownership of their modern server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure reliable operations and continuous improvement of critical IT systems in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining server and storage infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
• Managing and optimizing the virtual server environment based on VMware ESXi
• Executing backup and restore processes, conducting regular restoration tests to guarantee availability of server and file systems
• Independently analyzing complex incidents in the server and storage environment and implementing appropriate remediation measures
• Installing, configuring, and administering Windows Server systems, including recent versions
• Implementing and monitoring security measures at the server and storage level, particularly in access control, encryption, and patch management
• Continuously optimizing existing processes to maintain a stable, efficient, and reliable IT infrastructure across multiple locations

What We're Looking For

Our client needs a seasoned infrastructure professional with hands-on experience and strong technical skills:

• Several years of professional experience in administering, operating, and developing datacenter, server, virtualization, and backup infrastructures
• Strong proficiency with technologies including VMware, Veeam, NetApp, Cisco, and Windows Server environments
• Completed IT vocational training, degree in Computer Science, or equivalent qualification
• Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, particularly in server, storage, network, and both Windows and Linux systems
• Strong communication skills, team orientation, and a high degree of responsibility
• German language proficiency required for this position in Holzkirchen
